Vanessa started her career at Temple University in December 1984. Throughout the past 38 years, she has served in six positions as Departmental Secretary, Paley Library and General Internal Medicine), Front Office Manager (Temple Towers), and Program Coordinator (Disability Resources and Services) and in my current role as Student Support Coordinator.

Vanessa started her new position as Student Support Coordinator for the Temple WELL Program on November 1, 2002. As a Student Support Coordinator, her responsibilities entail conducting a range of support services for Adult Learners participating in the WELL and ESL Programs such as recruitment, coordinating a range of support services, conducting intake and assessments, providing reasonable accommodations, assisting with student orientations, data, and file management.

Vanessa's career here at Temple has granted her a wealth of educational and professional development opportunities. She is so grateful to have been able to earn a dual undergraduate degree in African American Studies and Political Science. Other earned degrees in a Masters in Adult and Organizational Development, a Masters’ Certificates to Teach in Higher Education and Human Resources.

These educational accomplishments have afforded Vanessa a range of professional skills in the areas of customer service, effective communication, student development, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills. Over the past 16 years, she has been able to enhance her presentation skills by conducting educational workshops to staff, faculty, parents, programs, and colleges in the areas of accessible and inclusive teaching and learning environments.
